In retrospect I made this card A LOT harder than it needed to be. . . . Made my distress bg according to the tutorial then decided to die cut an image, back it with scor-tape, lay back all the tiny pieces and finish by adding black glitter to fill in the frame around my mosaic. After painstakingly getting those itty bitty parts put down, I dumped on my glitter only to realize it was MUCH too CHUNKY and obliterated most everything. Couldn't get it off - couldn't fix it!
Well, not to be defeated I made a second bg, cut the same butterfly image (did not learn from the first time around!) and again reset all those tiny pieces. Looked around for something to use in place of FINE glitter and settled on black opal EP - SO far so good - the powder stuck nicely to the exposed scor-tape - but guess what doesn't like HEAT - oh yeah scor-tape . . . it was a delicate process but I did manage to get most of it set without totally ruining the card. I decided to stamp some bits of foliage around the edge in black ink to finish my scene. As I sat back to check the effect the "In Retospect" moment finally kicked in - WHY, I thought, didn't I just STAMP a butterfly in black???? Ah well - at least I have a useable card. . . and I may even try that inlaid mosaic technique again with a simpler die cut.

I love the glow of your background contrasted with the black silhouettes! My head spun at your description of making that butterfly. What patience you have! The end result was worth it though. Super card!
