This is my sample for today's Spring Cleaning WTUI challenge, which you will find HERE.
Actually, I made this back just before Christmas, to contain a gift set of sea-themed cards using the TJ Psalms of the Sea set - but I kept it in reserve in case I didn't have time to make a fresh sample this week. Just as well!!
For the bag, I used the Bag-a-Lope tutorial, which I always find to be a great way of presenting cards. And if you have the envelope insert for the Scor-Pal, it makes scoring the bottom even easier.
To decorate it the top I used some SU white card and scalloped border punch along the top, and I made a little tag on a clip to hold it closed, using one of the TH Mini Nautical stamps.
The main decoration is my Under the Sea panel...I made a background piece with Brushos in greens and blues, and then stamped the image with Versafine black. Then I went in with a fine brush and some bleach to remove colour from all the creatures. I coloured them with Mermaid markers - in some cases, the bleach was still active because I hadn't waited long enough, and it took some of the colour from the markers too, but I liked the look and in most cases left it as it was. There's a little Stickles on some of the bubbles. The panel was edged with a silver pen and matted onto some embossed blue card, and then stuck to the bag.

Awesome Under the sea look - I like the unexpected bits of pink & red peeking out of your oceanic blues & greens - too bad the shimmer from the stickles doesn't show well in photos - bet it's super IRL.

What a stunning gift bag this is Sabrina! I love the fancy piece at the top, and then this incredible underwater scene. It looks so real- almost like a photograph! You edit yourself beautifully when using the bleach because it adds the perfect highlights to your gorgeous sea creatures. I am putting this into my favs for future reference. Thank you for the terrific inspiration. ~Karen.

Beautiful work with the bleach! Not always easy to take off just a little...I've done it on some of my Lavinia fairy cards...takes a light tough, eh?
I love your image and how it turned out, gorgeous!

Sabrina, this is a beautiful and amazing underwater scene with so many wonderful details! It feels like a captivating storybook illustration from a children's book. I, too, like the effect of the bleach continuing to work against the markers lending a mottled illumination of the sea creatures.
