Fabulous inspiration site this week - I am so drawn in by color, and I loved the color combo in this image here.
I wanted to try my new oxide inks and my glass bead gel again - the gel gives such great texture AND sparkle! Sponged my strip of cs with the chosen DI oxide colors and then laid my stencil over top and spread the glass bead gel. Using a palette knife, I spread it evenly and then washed my stencil and knife before it dried. Let this dry.
Embossed, die cut, and sponged my butterfly, die cut the leaf flourish and tag, embossed the sentiment on black cs and assembled all with dimensional tape, a few enamel dots, ribbon and floss.

INCREDIBLE, Maura...colors are delicious! You've not only mastered the oxide inks, but those gel beads as well, looking like sugar frosting. What an absolute cool look! I must add them to my "want" list for sure...along with that wonderful angled stencil...quite the eye-catcher with all that texture. Love your white embossed and colored butterfly with the touch of green flourish on that be-ribboned tag! A SHOW-STOPPER!!!

Wow! I love these colors, too and the card you've made with them jumped right off the screen for me. I have never heard of glass bead gel but, oh what a magnificent effect! Your vine and butterfly balance out that amazing background to perfection.

Oh, Maura, what a perfect inspiration card for your pin! You nailed it! And this is gorgeous! I love the rich and vibrant colors, and what a great layout! I haven't used the Oxide inks much (just with a friend), but I sure love the results along with your use of the glass bead gel. Not much of a mixed media gal, but you sure are tempting! Perhaps you need to do digis and I mixed media? LOL! Hugs! xoxo
