I used the Serendipity boots stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with Inktense pencils and waxed with Judikins Microglaze.
Top panel - Faux Stamped Leather tutorial, using kraft, and distress inks: squeezed lemonade, wild honey, walnut stain and vintage photo. I used a feather from WPlus9. Brads and piercing, and some frayed cheesecloth so that I can submit this to the current Serendipity challenge to use fabric ;-).
Bottom panel - kraft embossed with Cuttlebug Paisley ef and sponged. I added a star that was on my desk, and a couple of feathers left from a recent MIX challenge. They're hidden when the flap is closed.
Inside I used Spellbinders Bracket Borders #1, a sentiment from SNSS, and a piece of Faux Bandanna from my scrap box.
When I set out to make a sample, I was hoping to end up with a card for my brother who has a birthday this week - but, LOL, I think this will go to my niece next month.

Lots love about this! I would have never thought of gauze for the fabric challenge and it looks amazing! Lots of wonderful elements - You made the kraft look just like leather! Amazing!
