This card was an adventure. Taped down my dry-wall tape and realized I could not find my modeling paste and it was too early to go to the store. I thought I would try some thick chalk paint I had on the window ledge (yes, I have all kinds of crafty stuff on that ledge and hubby doesn't like it but doesn't say a word - lol). It wasn't thick enough but I got some texture and my card then went in a different direction. Sponged several colors of TH ink over the dry wall tape. Realized I had a gap in the middle of tape and then sponged on much more ink to try and hide it but it didn't work. Decided I would try to hide the gap more after I removed the tape so more ink was added and some more white chalk paint. Never could get rid of the gap in in the sky but decided it could be part of that summer story the stamp is talking about. My boat was a sponged up mess despite my masking under the dry wall so I stamped and fussy cut some fresh sails.
I am going to try this technique again (without the gap and with some modeling paste) - supper fun and the inks seemed to really work well.
The stamps are new DRS Designs stamps coming out this weekend, and the card was made for the DRS Designs challenge - The Heat is On (Summer theme).
