Another one for today's Way's to Use it silhouette challenge. The typewriter is stamped on dp and cut with Nesties Circles. I added an eyelet and ribbon before popping up over the strip of dp and ric rac. Finished off by adding three buttons. I do remember typewriters, but "in my day" they were electric!!

Oh Bridget, my Dad owned a office supply store and I can remember him working on these typewriters, trying to find parts and fixing them for some of his customers! You have tickled me and kinda choked me up with this wonderful image and card. Thanks for letting me remember a part of my childhood! Wonderful card!

The ones I used to use didn't look quite like this, but somehow I skipped over electric ones and went straight from using a manual one at home to a computer in work. I wish I'd kept the big Remington we once had. Love the choice of paper, too; great card.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I used to own a typewriter like that! My parents bought it for $10 at a second hand store, so that I could practice my typing. I love that you stamped it on newsprint dp and I love the eyelet with the gingham ribbon, as well as the lovely papers!

I've seen manual typewriters, but never tried to use one. I learned on an IBM Selectric - back in the day! The nuns removed the backs of our chairs in typing class - so that we would have perfect posture and sit straight! To this day, I still don't sit back in my chair when I am typing at the computer.
Your card is just lovely - the colors are pretty and love the image as well and the cute red ribbon is just so perfect.

How fun is this card! I love your dp and the eyelet w/ the ribbon is a fab addition. You took me back to high school. The one I had to use in typing class had no letters on the keys! Can you guess why?
