This is a box of coasters I made as a gift. I started with an empty nut canister, cut to accommodate the coasters I made. The top and bottom are several layers of cereal/cracker box chipboard glued together, then covered with DP. I use tacky glue and then set them under heavy books (or my cuttlebug and plates) to ensure they will be flat when the glue is dry.
I put a piece of dowel inside the bead hole and then stamped some writing on the bead, so it matched the paper.
Although I didn't strictly follow it, there is a tutorial showing how to make a similar box from a tape roll here.
I also made a box to match to put this in, but didn't take a picture.

Wow, Melody, this is stunning! Your crocheted coasters are beautiful and the box to keep them in is marvelous. What a wonderful gift for some fortunate recipient.

Beautiful box for those pretty coasters. Stamping on the bead must have been somewhat tedious, which makes it even more special. Someone is going to love this gift.
