This is for LSC177, Folding.
Actually it's also an entry following a sketch on another forum for a competition entry. But when I first saw the sketch, I wanted to rotate it through 90 degrees and turn it into a gate fold. The theme was Wish, which is what has had it sitting on my mental back-burner for the last 6 weeks - I am not good at wearing my heart on my sleeve.
So this is what I came up with...
For the front, I made a panel on the left using watercolour paper which I misted with my sprayer and then used a very soft large brush to add H2Os. When it was dry I stamped it with the Stampendous Agapanthus and ColorBox Pigment Sky Blue.
The base card is about 17cm high and 13 wide.
For the circles on the right-hand side I used a Fiskars ShapeCutter and circle punches. Again I sponged the edges. I didn't have time to learn how to add text to a path in Open Office or Gimp, so I hand-wrote the sentiment with a very fine mapping pen. I don't have any caterpillar stamps, so the caterpillar is made from little 3/8 inch circles punched from green pastel paper and stuck together. I added a face, fine wire antennae and little dots of Liquid Pearls at the ends of the antennae.
The butterfly was stamped with Brilliance white on acetate, then I sprinkled gold glitter and clear EP over it and heat-set it before cutting it out. I also stamped in with the blue ink pad onto the circle before adhering the acetate version on top. All circles have little clear Sakura stardust dots all round the edge - on the sentiment circle they are round the centre gem.
For the inside I made a similar watercolour panel. The cloud-looking bits are iridescent gold. After it was dry I added some splashes of colour for flowers.
I used another caterpillar, and the big butterfly stamped with Brilliance white onto some Fantasy Film and cut out.
Not exactly limited supplies, but only 1 gem brad and no ribbons or hardware.
