 | | This is for Jeanne's challenge. Summer usta mean baking in an innertube on the Guadalupe with a colebeer in my hand and a cooler of more tied to another tube, but, alas, that was many years ago. Now in my old age, summer means sitting and watching the flowers grow (LOL). NOT! But I do enjoy my garden.
Actually this is the way I remember my Grandma Dewey Bland's back yard up in Rockdale when I was a kid. Her whole back yard, except for the big black washpot and the chicken pen, was a flower garden.
Now, for the REST of the story. MY DIL and G/kids gave me this little stamp set for my birthday, but I never really got into using it too much. I'll tell you WHY! The stamps are 1 inch big. Just 1. So, to create this little scene, #1 stamp the grass on the stampamajig for exact placement, then stamp 7 times across the paper. Then cut yourself out a mask. Then stamp the fence on the stamp jiggy and using your mask of the grass, stamp across the paper. THEN cut another mask of the fence. THEN repeat process with the flowers. Then on a separate piece of paper, do the same thing with the little stone sidewalk. Any questions so far? Good!
Next, since the only braying I do is when I sing, I sponged the sky on yet another little piece of paper, using a 3/4" punch for the sun, barely banana and baby blue ink, made me a sky.
The flowers and sidewalk are on Scotch brand foam dimensionals.
I placed this under Blurred Vision Watercoloring because...well, I watercolored it with pencils and I DO have blurred vision. SCS needs a category for watercoloring using pencils! |
