 | | Girl, oh, girl, Mothermark, did you ever invite my brain to a geometry party today! The SC184 was an exercise in puzzling...I loved it!!! And I got to use this Stampendous stamp I have had forever. It was just perfect for my layout.
I first stamped the whole image on SU's so saffron. I used VersaMagic turquoise gem. embossing in clear. I cut it out and then began coloring the tile with different ColorBox chalk inks (Bisque, yellow citrus, burnt sienna, chestnut brown, charcoal). On the smaller pieces, I started in the same way, but thought it would be interesting to show the progess of color as it was laid on. My mats for the smaller squares is stamped with Judikins treasure cube FAMOUS ARTISTS names script in black soot. I kind of like that thinking, artists through history and how their art grew! I edged the mat with Cosmic Copper from Dew Drops. The lovely tapestry background is a Cosmo Cricket paper from the Souvenir group called Soujourn. This is heavily distressed as I wanted the texture of real fabric---edges inked, too. The thank you is a rub-on from Basic Grey. My card base is Lasting Impressions Celery Checks.
I'm sending this off today to the wonderful hosts (parents) of my son's friend in San Diego. They were my eyes and ears and pocketbook and I am truly grateful for all they did! Thanks as always for your comments...hope you had a chance to puzzle this sketch! |
