Here's her story---she lived in Boston. Her father had a brother who left home at an early age and went west. When he died, she inherited his ranch. So she went down to Texas to check out her property. There she met -- who else? the WWW Cowboy! He romanced her for so long, but she couldn't handle the Texas heat, being of a frail, delicate Yankee-type nature, so she had to go home to Boston and leave him behind. Her only momento was a butterfly he caught for her down by the creek when they were on a picnic, and one lovely rose he picked out of the yard.
The inside sentiment says "Follow Your Dreams".
Now it's January in Boston and she's yearning for her fella back in Texas. (I personally would catch a stagecoach back down there!)
I tried to keep the colors on this to a minimum to keep the vintage air of the collage. I lightly covered some of the image with watercolor pencils and used blending medium. Then I lightly sponged Ranger Vintage Photo ink over the whole thing and antiqued the edges. The photo corners were from a metallic slab, a dark grey which I antiqued with Timber Brown StazOn.
PS - while she was bawling and wailing, she smeared her lipstick. Tater loaned me this stamp, which she won on a treasure hunt from Rubbernecker.
ED note: That rope was his, too.

Lol! A story that would even make MotherMark proud! You are too much sistah! I love it. Your card is wonderfully romantic and vintage. Love it!
P.S. What kind if nut would not suffer the Texas heat just to have the WWW man? I think she 'ain't right'!

You did this stamp PROUD!!! I love that sepia look! What really made this card though was the background history you provided. I hope the little lady comes to her senses, gets outa Dodge (or in this case Boston......no offense to the Boston folks) and sashas her little ol self back on down to heaven where me and the WWW man are......well, never mind.

I think I am prettier than her (snort!) I think the WWW cowboy would like me better! If only I could get my hands on him (the stamp set!) I could prove it to him. He would rather come to Colorado than Boston! Colorado is more *horsey*
And no......I am not going to E-Bay for him, nope! Too much money for me!
