Each purse was designed and water colored. The inside of each purse was designed to match the outside. It was water colored on white Mulberry paper (looks like thin batiste). I adhered the mulberry paper to the inside edges of the purse with Crystal Effects and then embossed the edges in gold. I used scripture from SUÂ’s Elegant Inspirations on the inside of each purse as well. I also attached water colored butterflies. I painted over the butterflies with H2OÂ’s that I purchased from Flourishes.
The clasps on the purses were water colored and allowed to dry overnight. I then covered them in multiple layers of Crystal Effects, letting each layer dry before placing another application. By doing this, the clasps have an enameled effect. I adhered pearl straps to the purses using Crystal Effects as an adhesive. Crystal Effects is a perfect adhesive for this project. The flowers on the rose/violet purse also have multiple layers of Crystal Effects. I wanted to have an enameled purse in my collection. The leaf clasps on this purse are gorgeous, they look like huge emeralds. The colors are very rich and intense IRL. It was very difficult to photograph this project with all the Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects and LuminArteÂ’s mica powders. They all shimmered causing chaos with the lighting issues . . . LOL . . . ! The other two purses were water colored and painted with LuminArteÂ’s oyster mica powder mixed with Gum Arabic. The oyster color gives an aged appearance, so beautiful for antique effects.
I made gloves to place inside the purses. I painted those with the oyster mica powder/Gum Arabic mixture as well. The LuminArte mica powder used in this project was purchased at Flourishes and the gorgeous self-adhesive beige pearls were purchased at Ellen HutsonÂ’s store.

In my wildest dreams I cannot vision making something this beautiful. And even if I had the talent I cannot imagine taking that much time. You are truly an artist.
