Today's Limited Supply Challenge focused on silly celebrations. We were able to choose one of three. I chose National Yo-Yo Day.
It was interesting. I found some history on the yo-yo embellishment. Apparently, yo-yo circles (at one point called *whirligigs*) were used even way back in Betsy Ross' time.
My blog has a bit more info. I used a yo-yo circle on my card. Those who know me are probably stunned into speechlessness that it appears that I sewed. I am just as shocked... it really wasn't too hard.
Thanks for looking!

I have seen entire quilts made out of these yo-yos. They are beautiful. This is wonderful. I would have never thought of that. I love your card. Great sewing. TFS

Wow! This is so great! I did think about these yo yos but thought that sounded like too much work! LOL! Well, I'm so glad you went for it! It is really a neat card, great color combo and so unique! Like Dawn, I have seen entire quilts made of these yo yos and some are from WAY back in time! They are also gorgeous in crocheted doily type yo yo's. Thanks so much for sharing with us your talent and creativity!
