I do hope you are well on your way, Julia, the road to recovery that is! Thanks for an awesome challenge today. I have always had wanderlust, so why should I be surprised my DS has followed in my steps. I incorporated these themes into the Ways to Use it challenge.
When I spied this road paper last weekend, I couldn't help but think Pacific Coast Highway. I knew it would be perfect for a travel card one day. I used a MM template to make an A2 sized tag. I backed my paper with cs. The neat bike is part of a $1 travel set my LSS had last weekend (really cool alternative to the M's ones). It is inked with Stazon jet black onto acetate. I cut and popped on Zots. I stamped WANDER words from the Just Rite little stampers on ribbon and stapled to my road. Underneath the discover is a compass from SU travel post set. It is inked in VersaColor black. My Expired parking meter is from Rubber Stamps of America. I stamped in black on white cs and colored with Copics. I adore all the detail here, especially down to the coin slots and the EXPIRED talker. My ticket to elsewhere is from Invoke Arts. It is embossed in clear, inked in black on white cs. I colored it with Copics. My ribbons and fiber hold trinkets I stamped onto cs and embossed with midas platinum. The key to what I consider essential to a journey, of any kind really!
I'll be slipping this inside my son's laptop...a gentle reminder as he considers the road ahead this summer...
Thanks so much for your comments!

Susan this is so GREAT! Your son will love getting it in his laptop! I love the paper you found and all your little bits and pieces. The stamping on the ribbon is just perfect ... I always smudge mine!

Susan, I am in a terrible rush today and wasn't going to comment until tonight, but when I saw your wonderful tag I just had to comment! As always you have filled your card with both excitement and meaning! Your bike is a wonderful image placed upon the road paper, the stamped ribbons are so great... but I especially LOVE the key and the Bible! What better message could you give your son than that! I know he will love finding this in his laptop... and will know all the meaning behind it! Great job!
