After a conversation with DawnL, I decided to try inking up this Trees backgrounder ( www.cornishheritagefarms.com ) partially, and then using a sponge to fade the ink out on one side. I think it worked great!
Once I got it stamped, I thought, what do I do now? Mona Lisa's tutorial about burning the edges popped in my head, so I went with that. This is just one piece of cardstock, no layers, no embellishments, no foo foo.
Stamps: CHF Trees backgrounder, quote from Art Impressions
Ink: Pine Needles & Walnut Stain distress inks
CS: Sahara Sand
Other: sponge, distressing tool

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
