 | | I know I'm really late to this party, but I just *had* to CASE something from Silke's gallery. I chose this card:
SC169 BIC6 Thank You by sparklegirl at Splitcoaststampers
I never do white card bases since Whisper White is flimsier than the other SU cardstocks, so I thought this would be fun and different to try. I chose a different sketch challenge that featured a long skinny panel, and I changed Tempting Turquoise for Only Orange so I could use my Tart & Tangy orange stamp.
The oranges are stamped with Only Orange craft ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice, so IRL this card is fun and sparkly I took a page from Faith's gallery (Markie's Mom) and used an orange Sharpie to color some silver brads--I like the effect! Now they look metallic orange. I used a 6x6 sheet of the patterned paper and made five of these, so I cut the DP into 2x3 pieces and then cut those apart before I adhered them to the Night of Navy piece. There's a gap between the pieces that the orange panel handily covers up and I conserved some precious DP I love how this came out, I'll have to try white card bases more often. Thanks for the inspiration, Silke! |
