My husband's birthday is next week, and I thought today's limited supply challenge would be great to make his card. We were to make a card that measured no smaller then 4" x 8", has limited layers, and NO dp.
I have been racking my brain, trying to figure out what kind of card to make him. I wanted to make something funny and a little off beat, so I pulled out Twisted Sentiments set by MFT. As soon as I saw the "Nice Package" sentiment, I knew what I wanted to do! I decided to make the main image a stack of presents and then stamp the sentiment on the card front.
My card measures 4" x 9-1/4". I wanted the card itself to kind of look like a package too, so the main bg panel is kraft cs and is matted with blue bayou. I stamped the Sanded bg on the kraft with close to cocoa ink. I found this wide twill tape and knew that I had to pull it out for this card. I stamped the swirls (from Background Basics) directly on the twill tape with bayou ink. The twill is adhered to the kraft cs with sticky strip. I stamped the sentiment on the bg layer with blue bayou ink. The main image panel is whisper white and is matted with blue bayou cs. The two blue presents are from the Tag Time set (retired) and were stamped on the whisper white with basic black ink. The blue bayou present is in the back is from the SAB set Birthday Whimsey. The stack of gifts in the front is from MFT's You Take the Cake, and is stamped in basic black ink. I colored the stack of gifts with SU! markers (as were all of the gifts), cut the image out and adhered it with dimensionals. The small gift in front is from Inkadinkado. It was stamped with wasabi ink, colored, cut out, and adhered with a dimensional. The entire main image panel is up on dimensionals. I wanted to add a little hardware, so I added brads in the corners of the small panel and the bg panel. I also added a row of them under the sentiment.
I'm not sure with how it came out, but I think my dh will get a laugh out of it. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Yes... your dh will definitely appreciate this one! Great sentiment! Like the package idea on the card itself too!
