Hello and thank you for viewing my submission (albeit later than I had planned) for today's Color Challenge. The colors certainly were a challenge, which is not bad in and of itself...it's just that it took me from 10:30 am to now at 7:53 pm (off and on - mostly off) - and it's almost time for American Idol, to get this card done and uploaded! In fact my entire day was a challenge to getting this done. Without whining about it all, I'll share in a nutshell:
All was going well and I had even determined that these 3 colors today screamed "NAUTICAL!" to me, so I knew what stamp I was going to use and what I was going to embellish with, having all 3 colors of cardstock...and then as I was finishing up the coloring on the image, I went to stamp the sentiment, and not allowing enough time for it to dry, I flipped it over to put runner tape on it, and when I turned it back over...oh my! It was all smeared! I was so distraught!
Then my husband comes home for lunch, checks his email (or tries), and inquires about whether we lost internet service or not. I had no clue...( was dealing with more important things...like how was I going to salvage this colored image???
Then we find out the internet service was out, and I'm thinking what's the point of trying to get the card done, when there's no internet service....then about 3:00 pm we determined that "Peanut" or baby kitty disconnected the phone line. So, that gets fixed, and I start over with a new image to color...then I cut my finger, blood drips on the image...I'm tellin' you! I'm thinking, "maybe this is a sign?" So, I start over on a 3rd image...get that colored just fine...then the UPS man comes with our gazebo (canopy) for the deck. Hubby unpacks it while I'm getting ready to stamp my sentiment (again) on this 3rd attempt, and then he comes upstairs and tells me they sent 1 wrong part! I go ahead and ink up the sentiment, get the stamp-majig out and everything's lookin' good, and then when I lift up the stamp...I see that the "B" in "By" didn't stamp completely. So, I decided to wing it with a micron pen. Not really pretty...but hey, it's done. complete with Real Red, NIght of Navy and Glorious Green. Then, when by the time this got together, it was dinner time, then I had to wait for hubby to have a moment to take my photo, and there you have it!
But we still have to deal with that Gazebo part...
So, what do you think of this mess? LOL

WOW! Love this stamp and your coloring is awesome! I know what you mean about it being a tough day... seems like every now and then I feel like I should just quit for the day. I think when you bled on the image you could have just called that real red... as long as it was fresh at least! LOL! Anyway, you did an awesome job.
