This is for our Dirty Girl Challenge this month Old is New....
We had to dig out our old stamps accessories and techniques and incorporate them into a new design. Fun idea hey?
This is my oldest stamp. I completely forgot I had it. I bought it a D.O.T.S party probably 11 years ago. I had just quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom to our infant daughter, money was tight and we were watching our pennies. I remember pouring over the catalog...but being able to choose only 1 stamp! At the time I was totally into anything *Ivy*. Sort of a traditional design, to me like an Ivy wreath hanging on a wall.
When I didn't have a lot of ink pads I used my VersaMark a lot. So here it's used for the embossing with an old Olive embossing powder, and I created my own designer paper look by using the VersaMarker to create lines like a wallpaper along the bottom section. Watercoloring with reinkers isn't my oldest technique, but it is one of the first ones I learned. Last years In Colors used, old square steps punch, old olive organdy ribbon, and an old jewelry charm I had.
Heart is actually raised up and inset is a shadow box which isn't as visible due to the angle.
Thanks so much for looking!

Christine, it's so lovely! The ribbon in the center of the heart is beautiful and the charm is a perfect touch. Wow, you've been stamping for 11 years! That's amazing, you must have started when you were only a wee young thing! I only just learned about stamping 3 years ago from a friend.
