Thank you Happy Heart for your great instructions. Here's the result of my first try...just love this technique. I used versamark on the background then applied Pearl Ex colors that were in the butterfly. Then I used the silver pen to edge the black cs. Love the shimmery look.

Very pretty! Isn't it a fun technique?

Can you tell me what Pearl Ex colors you used? Did you stamp in the black Stazon first, then re-stamp in versamark, or the other way around? Thanks so much for any directions you can give me!

I stamped the butterfly with Stazon on to acetate. I then ran the acetate through xyron machine. I applied the pearl-ex on the sticky side with a small paint brush. I did the butterfly first then brushed over the entire piece with a larger brush in a diagonal direction and that spread the loose powder from the butterfly onto the background. I then filled in with silver on the background.
I used the following colors:
Interference Violet
Duo Blue Green
Spring Green
Misty Lavendar
Silver
I then put in onto black card stock which makes the colors really show up.
