I have been wanting to participate in WT154 for the past couple of weeks. If you remember, that was the challenge that had us use windows in some way. I immediately thought of this image by Stamp-A-Mania and knew I wanted to use it. I also needed some time to color it, so I guess we can thank this weekend's blizzard for giving me some extra stamping time.
This large image was stamped with Black Stazon onto Bristol smooth paper. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. For the stained glass portion of the image, I stamped it on acetate and colored/painted the acetate with Perfect Pearls to attempt to achieve a stained glass effect.
I then cut out the entire image and mounted it onto some deep burgandy patterned paper and then some beige cardstock at the top and bottom of the card.
I didn't use any embellishments because I wanted the image to stand alone.
Thanks for looking!

What a beautiful work of art. The extra step of placing the color on acetate was worth it. It looks like authentic stained glass! Gorgeous!!!
