This is my card for Paris (ParisOtremba) who is today's featured stamper. It's a wonderful gallery I was not familiar with....and I have been missing out for sure! This is the card I chose to case:
1. I am not much of a world traveller. The first thing that popped into my head were the long skinny boats with *drivers* in red and white striped shirts boating through the city with a couple in their boat. Oh wait, that is Venus, nope...that is a planet! Oh, Venice, I think that's in Italy!
2. I did a little googling, came up with some movie that was made in 1947. Didn't see it, I am old but not that old! I decided to just pick a card and saw Paris' Eiffel Tower card. Okay, now I know.... Paris, France!
3. Don't have a Eiffel Tower stamp so I tried to papercraft one....it looked like a super tall triangle with a hole in it!
4. So, I decided to just pretend I know what Paris looks like in the Spring and this is it!
I kept the layout the same, used similar striped paper, changed the pot and the flowers and used acetate for the words, not vellum. I added an awning because the weather forecast for Paris says rain today and I spent quite a bit of time cutting out those flowers and don't want them trashed!
Awesome gallery Paris! Congratulations!

Cindy, next time I'm depressed, I'm calling you - because if I ever wonder if I'm losing it, I have you as a model!!! You are sooo funny! And, I absolutely love the Venus, er, Venice, er Parisian card. She will too!
