I made this card for one of my daughter's friends while they were in boot camp together. I knew both girls needed lots of cheering up so you will be seeing a ton of cards I sent out. I used a cute House Mouse stamp, since they were up in Great Lakes just FREEZING, I thought they would get a good laugh out of a card showing a popsicle. I colored the stamp with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. The background is one I had done a long time ago where you scrape chalk over a bowl of water then swirl it around and then dip in your paper. I thought it looked like a melting popsicle. The cool is part of the sentiment I inked up with craft ink then embossed with clear emboss. The ribbon is some I got samples of, but have no clue where from. If you recognize it, let me know, as I would love to find more!

I love it. So your daughter is in the Navy.
Way to go. My daughter was in the Navy.
She too went to Great Lake's as did her dad.
Many Many years before she went there.
It does get cold there. We are from Michigan.
But now live in Tucson Az.
My daughter was in the Navy for 4 years.
Her husband who was in Boot Camp with her.
Is still in the Navy. HE has 12 years in now.
My husband was in the Navy for 30 years.
We have a son who is in the Marines been in for 15 years.
And our other son is in the Army has been in for 15 years
as well. I'm the only one who didn't go in. But I did have the
hard part of it all. I think.
Thanks for showing your card.
Look forward to seeing more.
