I love this image, I love my DH, but I had the most difficult time ever getting this card colored in. I thought the more you did something the easier it was supposed to be. NOT I stamped the image onto Bristol Paper using Versa-fine Vintage Sepia ink and colored the image in with Lyra colored pencils. I really liked the Bristol paper, it's very smooth and strong. I think it would warp though with water color. The pencils acted very slippery yet held the color very well on the Bristol paper. The paper itself is made by windmills. Pretty cool. Previous to the final attempt,I had tried chalk and blender pen, water color, and Shimmer chalk all on various papers. I knew this had to be the final.

It looks great! Keep trying with the pencils- you find it easier as you go. I think they are the best things for these gorgeous stamps!

Sorry it was such a challenge for you to color, but I'm glad you persevered because this is lovely! Such a look of Spring about it. Come on, Spring!!! Linda

Your coloring is fabulous! I could never achieve the balance of color! I settle for doing this in one color- but it looks nothing like this- which is spectacular!
