Always and Forever Hostess Gift
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: smartblonde_2000

My mom and my friend Beth are each having a catalogue party, and I wanted to make them up a thank you gift (something that would be a fun project for them to duplicate, too)! I already had ALL of the ink pads when I signed up as a demo, so I thought I would use them as hostess gifts.

The cover around the ink pad was made using a piece of wild wasabi cs that was cut to 3.5" wide by 9" long. I used my Forever Flowers wheel in purely pomegranate ink on the outside of this cover. I wrapped the cover around the ink pad and tied a piece of pomegranate double stitched ribbon around it.

The gift bag/box is a variation on the 2-5-7-10 box, Jenn Balcer's tutorial can be found here: 2-5-7-10 Box Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. The change that I made was that I cut my main box piece to be 12" long, instead of 11". I used whisper white for the box and stamped it with the Forever Flowers wheel in wild wasabi ink. I used my wheel guide to make sure the pattern was lined up. The image panel is matted with pomegranate cs. The bird is from Always and is stamped in wild wasabi. The sentiment is from All In A Row and is stamped in pomegranate ink. I adhered the panel to the box with sticky strip. I tore the bottom edge of the box flap and rubbed the pomegranate ink pad along the tear. I used the crop-a-dile to punch out the holes that the pomegranate double stitched ribbon is threaded through.

I really love how the Forever Flowers background turned out, I think this is my new favorite wheel! Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!

cute and cleaver! I just had a su party on sun and my demo brought me a 5 pack of birthday cards using the birthday whimsy! very bright and cheerful! If I get a chance maybe I will take a picture of them and the three different cards we made at the party.
