This card is intended for my son's teacher- he wrote an awesome Letter-of-Recommendation for my son to give to colleges he's currently applying for. (I am SO NOT READY for my "baby" to graduate and go off to college this year!) I know this teacher personally; he used to cut my mother's lawn when he was a child.
I started out with a sheet of Sunset colored Bazzill Bling cs. I took a piece of DP and ran it through my Cuttlebug. I used the "thank you" embossing folder. I sanded the word "thanks" that is on the bottom of the DP so that it would show up better. I hope it's not too subtle and that you can still see it. I punched the corners using my SU scallop punch . The flowers were stamped using non-SU dye inks. Layered using non-SU dark blue cs. Orange brads were added to the top and bottom. And finally, I tied some dark blue ribbon around the bottom of the flowers and slided the knot over to the left. Hopefully, this card is not too feminine - I tried to keep it simple. What do you think?
UGH!! I hate being new at this! I can't wait til I know what I'm doing - instead of taking me minutes, it takes me HOURS (sometimes 1-2 DAYS!!) to complete a card! When does it get easier?! LOL!
Thanks so much for looking and I appreciate your comments if you have any. :-)

I think this is a GREAT card! I can see the THANKS just fine-- it looks super, and I do like your card colors. Don't worry-- you'll get faster making cards as you get more experienced with them, but sometimes it is good to just go slow, let the creative juices flow, and have fun!

It's a terrific card. The thanks shows up well. Your color
choices are great. I use a small circle punch instead of the
ticket punch. Your corners look fine, guess I could use the
scallop punch too. We are always learning here. Thanks for
sharing your card. I'm sure your son's teacher will appreciate
it.
