I send Valentine cards to some family members and friends. This is this year's card.
I like this color of blue. The paper came in a pack of Rich Regals card stock years ago, and during that time it appeared that SU's color range tolerances for the dye lots were very, very wide. It looks nothing like the Brocade Blue I have purchased more recently. My Brocade Blue ink pad, reinker, and marker are different colors of blue too. Funny how my Real Red marker and my Real Red ink pad, purchased at the same time, do not match each other either. How can two colors be Real Red? Which Real Red is the real red?
Coloring was done with ink and an aqua painter. I used a Bashful Blue reinker for the truck, a Marvy black pad for the tires (SU's black ink is purple) and I scribbled my red pen on an acrylic block to color the hearts.
I made coordinating envelopes, and used my old retired Positively Pink ink pad because the pink matched the lighter hearts in the truck.
I spent way too much time trying to get colors to match for this card!

Thank you sooo much for sharing this card. Both of these sets are sets that I just HAD to have as soon as I saw them. Yet, since I've had them all they've done is sit on my shelf and gather dust. I could never figure out quite what to do with them! Thanks for the fantastic inspiration. I like everything about this card. The color combo., the CAS layout... I could go on and on!
