Our challenge is to create a card using the polished stone technique and I really enjoy doing a landscape with the technique.
Thanks for the challenge Erica
-I start with the sun and a circle cut of felt using caramel (I thought I had butterscotch) on the inside and cranberry towards the edges, then add pearl and the extender. I just dab straight up and down but move the block in a circle so it doesnÂ’t ink the same spots. Very easy!
-Next I use a torn piece of paper and cover the ground area and add only the stonewashed at the bottom but move the block all over the area and add more ink if needed. The dark portion/denim at the top is added to the same block and repeat the motions and keep it from going below the sun area OR is it a harvest moonÂ…you get to choose.
-Pick up the circle again and tilt the block so only the red will touch on the blue, then add a bit more blue to blend it.
-Lettuce and Meadow are used for the ground area in a regular polished stone movement and make sure the edges arenÂ’t a smooth line so it looks realistic. No cover of the sky us used to add the ground.
-Now stamp on the images and you're ready to assemble.
-To stay under the 45minute time limit I chose a very simple layout. The panel took 25 minutes of playing to create which left me plenty of time to assemble.
