I got a cheap daytimer this year but the cover was awful. I was black and floppy, so the other day I took it off and made one from mat board and stamped it. What a difference.

To redo the spiral cover I carefully took the spiral off, used the old cover for a pattern to mark where I needed the holes. Made the holes with the 1/4 in anywhere punch., and them put it back together. There are about 3 different kinds of spiral bindings. This one was not an actual spiral.
How do you cut the matboard? Can you cut it with a regular paper trimmer? Also, do you have a source for matboard? Michael's? AC Moore? or do you go to a frame shop? Would love to present this as a project for a stamp camp.
