Glitter, glitter everywhere
On the floor and in my hair!
Sorry, just felt the need to write a little poem about the state of my house and being after today's technique lover's challenge- used dazzling diamonds/iridescent ice!
This card is also for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge, which is a totally awesome layout by Cindy Haffner!!! You can check it out here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I decided to go with a black and white theme, just couldn't come up with any other color combos that I really liked. I used my cuttlebug and the textile embossing folder on the large black layer that is visible (not the very base layer) and on the white panel on the left side. I used the ticket corner punch on all layers, except for the very base layer of black and the sentiment oval.
The flower image is from MFT's Boho Blossoms (my absolute FAVORITE set ever!!!) and the sentiment is from MFT's Essential Sentiments. They are both stamped in basic black classic ink. I used the dazzling diamond dust technique over the flower panel. You can find Beate's tutorial here: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.
I used the large oval punch for the sentiment, and then ran the edges of the oval in the basic black ink pad. The sentiment is up on mini pop dots, you can't really tell in the picture. I used mounting adhesive to adhere the rest of the panels. I added the black/white satin ribbon and the white brads.
This was a pretty easy card and I am really happy with how it came out! Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!!!
