Christmas cards finished and in the mail so I can get back to the challenges!!! When I saw the color challenge for today I was concerned- just didn't know how I was going to make it work...but, WOW, what a great combination Em!! I love the horizonal pocket technique of a few weeks ago and thought it would look good with these colors. Also, my first time using paper flowers- these are from my fall flower arrangements.
The button is from "Starla's Stash"- my sweet little sister who passed away in 2000. She was an avid crafter like me and I use a lot of her stash in making my cards as a tribute to her memory.

I love this card! The colors are so bright and inviting...I too use my Great Grandma's buttons as a tribute in many of my pages and cards. I think your sister would be proud!

This is absolutely beautiful and I love the way you used the color combination. I think it's wonderful that your sister is living on in your creations.

This is so pretty and yet so FUN-KEE! Is this because you're Lost in the 60s? LOL! I'm sorry, Diane. I'm feeling very silly at the moment. Forgive my attempt at humor, but that is what it is. I grew up in the 60s/70s and today's color combo reminds me of the 70s era, which was a very funky time, and I just had to play off your user name!
On a serious note, this is VERY pretty, and I love that you are using supplies from your dear sister's stash. The linen flowers with the button center are so beautiful! It is a wonderful tribute to her memory, and I'm sorry she passed.
Wonderfull card and great colors. I love all of the things you put on there. I just finished teaching my last Stampin' Up class until after Christmas. I will welcome using some other stamps and colors. Especially the two new sets I just received last week. Keep up the good work! Susan @[email protected]
