This is my card for Sharon's (notimetostamp) stamp simply challenge found here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
Today's challenge was to use a wheel to create the focus for your card. When I first saw the challenge, I thought, I guess I'm not playing today, as I have not used or bought any wheels in YEARS!! But nonetheless, I looked through my wheels and low and behold I found this wheel called Bold Baroque!! I don't even know if it is stampin up or not!! Anywho, I thought that I could do something with that and the baroque motifs set. This is what I came up with. I need to work on my wheelie skills, as part of it are a little light!! Originally it was going to stand length wise, until I realized that I had pretty much copied Sharon's layout (unintentionally!!) YIKES! So, I turned it to open at the side and added a sentiment. I made an engagement card yesterday for a friend, but I think I will give her this one and save the other one as a wedding card instead.
I also took about 20 different pictures of this; inside, outside, laying flat, standing up, leaning back!! Didn't really capture the real colours or feel for this, anyway this was about as good as it got!
The medallion is embossed with black ep and it and the sentiment are popped up on dimensionals! I also pierced the strip of black and around the scallop! Thanks for looking and thanks for another fun challenge Sharon

I think it is striking, and great use of the wheel. I like how it is not a crisp image, like you said. I think it really adds character and to me it looks like it is catching the light. Good job using an old wheel with a new set! TFS

This is stunning -- I just love it!!! That wheel is perfect with Baroque Motifs!!! Aren't you glad you dug and found it!!! I always like those type of images!!! Love that you rolled it on the diagonal and love the gray, the bling, the piercing and scallop and the embossing, too!!! Great job!!!

I really like this. It's so pretty. It would make a beautiful wedding or anniversary card!
