 | | Hi! This card was made for today's Limited Supply Challenge: Limited Layers. We were to use 3-4 layers. Any card stock, ink and embellishments-and to limit ourselves....SO...3 layers! That's it! If you want to include the cut out area with the inserted circle as an additional layer, so be it! Still within the rules! I'm so proud!LOL! And...it was finished in 12 minutes! NOT BAD!
I used SU!'s retired wide black organdy ribbon. I really miss that stuff...
The card measures 5"x5". The BBlack layer has the fern from Touch of Nature stamped multiple times in VersaMark and then embossed in gold. The focal image was first brayered. Next, I used a heat tool to dry it. Then, I stamped the fern and butterfly in StazON.To finish, I stamped the fern in VersaMark and embossed it in gold.
I was going for that "sunset" look. I really wanted to capture the sunlight on the ferns.
I'm saving this to give to my friend when her chemo is complete. We have a deal that we will travel to my parent's old creek lot and sit there and watch the sun set one evening. And then, the next morning, see it rise. It was always such a wonderful place for me. She said she is tired of hearing and reading about it...She wants to experience it!
What do you think?
