For this card I used the thumping technique with markers. I colored the trunk with chocolate chip, and the leave with more mustard. Than I thumped the leaf area with really rust, old olive and creamy caramel makers.
**edit** For those of you who have not heard of thumping this is something that I learned at this last SU convention. In one of the classes, she had a list of 20 things you can do with your markers, and Thumping was one of them. Thumping is where you take a detailed stamp set. Ink it up in a neutral colored base coat (in this case I did more mustard) then thump (or bounce) the maker over that image area randomly which makes little marks and gives the effect you see on this card.
There is direct to paper on the mustard background along with the canvas background. The background of the main image panel is stippled with ruby red.

Okay, inquiring minds and busy bodies need to know what the thumping technique is. So come, out with it. Is there a tutorial for us to peek at? Thanx in advance!
