I wanted to do a quick card and also use some images that get neglected. The vase has never seen ink before; I have two sizes of the same image that were gifts. The poppy is a dollar store find.
The card takes about fifteen minutes.
The poppy image is colored with markers and the stems are drawn freehand with a gel pen. The flower centers are just dots added with the gel pen then I press my finger on it before it dries so it spreads and looks natural.
The pitcher has some water applied with an artist brush and re inker.
The table cloth is a small approx. 3” image. All of these steps are done before you stamp the card. I
Partially color with a marker, stamp off then partially color again but not over the entire first coloring so it has a faded edge effect. Using a brush put a few drops of water on the rubber at the ink edge; this will give a watercolor effect. Hope that isnÂ’t to confusing!

Oooo, I love this card! The colors are wonderful together and the whole layout is just perfect, especially those cool square brads. Great coloring job on the flowers too! Thanks for sharing!
Well, I understand it, but you can bet it won't look this good when I'm finished--Mine will look like a slob came to dinner--you should have put 'don't try this at home, Judy'!
