I used a leather textured paper that was a dollar store find. The images are embossed the opposite way so it gives the effect of tooled leather.
I did both ink and tool distressing. Heat embossed hinges and the corner tabs are a square cut corner to corner.
The flower is colored with chalks/pastels.
My brads were very shiny copper so to age them I used a black permanent marker – lightly, not a full coverage.
The paper is pretty thick so I shut the light off and pulled the blinds to do the dry embossing over the light table and I still just barely saw the pattern.
