I was inspired by TLC119 but wanted something bigger so this is 5.5" x 12" and made into a full card. After I origami'd the main folds -- I scored it again about 1/2" from the bottom and did an invert-pleat thing at the bottom of the card, so it would stand up on it's own. I would give anything to have my dad back so I could make him a father's day card :(

I am so sorry you don't have your dad anymore. I don't see mine anymore, but at least I know he's around. (He retired and moved to GA a year and a half ago.) I'm sure your FIL will love the card you made for him. I made a shirt card for my dad, but it didn't turn out as wonderful as yours. TFS!

Sorry your father is no longer with you but I'm sure he appreciates that you think of him and miss him. As for your FIL and his card, well, I'm sure he'll be honoured to receive such a beautiful card! I love all your little extras...the button down collar, the pocket, the faux stitching! Great detail!

What a wonderful card. I so understand how you feel about your Dad, this is the first father's day without mine (he passed away in March). I didn't think it would be so hard but the closer it get's the sadder I feel. So I am going to make a Father's day card anyway and maybe send one to someone who needs it.
