I got this glorious paper (Hot off the Press) at JoAnn's (must have been the last one or I would have bought at least 20) and I thought this sketch would be a great way to showcase it. I pulled it out and thought night of navy would match - Not! Tried vintage violet - not! Ended up using eggplant, although even that wasn't a perfect match. Image is colored with prismacolors and gamsol. Edges are sponged in eggplant. Then I had a really hard time covering it up with the horizontal strip, so I thought the lace edge punch (martha stewart) would make a strip that was somewhat see-through. I added some extra holes in the center with my Japanese screw punch. I think I should have backed it with a strip of vellum, but too late now. It's a little hard to see them, but the ends of the lace strip has micro brads in the flowers.
