Sometime before we headed out to California, I was asked if I’d like to be part of a group Whipper Snapper buy. Being a true lemming, I said, “SURE!” and proceeded to say, “I’ll just have what Lori’s having.” Several fun Anna-designed images found their way into my suitcase, and I’ve just started using them. To make things fun (and to make me actually USE and not just collect), Lori asked if I’d like to try a little “I’m not calling it a challenge but let’s do something with the same stamp and the same paper” thing.
I got the first pick: Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl (which I knew Lori had just gotten from eP) and AnnaÂ’s sweet little love birds.
The image is stamped on Shimmery White with my favorite black ink, Palette Noir. I watercolored using my aquapainter and watercolor crayons, then when it was dry, added some sparkle with a Sakura Stardust pen.
Here are some details that I thought really added to this simple layout. I loved the paper with the little fleur de lis that echoed the feather tails on the birds, and thought the gingham (su!) and dotted organdy (May Arts) were perfect touches. The little “us” and “until forever” are from my stash of Making Memories tags, and I thought they worked with these sweet birds. Those are attached with silver cord and/or silver brads.

I love this card! I especially like how you've used the different patterned papers - they all shine, but work together too, and still manage not to compete with the focal image. Don't know how you do it! It's perfect!

Way to collect and use! I need to take a lesson from you. :-) That Cosmo Cricket paper is wonderful with Anna's lovebirds. I think perhaps my favorite part--hard to pick one favorite part--is the 'until forever' MM tag and silver brads. It looks 3D--how did you attach it?
