This is for the Ways To Use It Challenge #110. The challenge was to use Orchid Opulence. This isn't a colour I normally reach for, but I thought I would use a combination of purples to accent the Orchid Opulence. A dab of stickles on each flower adds a bit of sparkle.
I stamped four lilacs using my Floral cube from Sunshine Designs and coloured each one a different shade of purple using classic spots, a yogurt lid and a blender pen. I also did some accenting for depth, but stayed with my four purples. The leaves were coloured with Certainly Celery, but I didn't like it so I did a layer of Handsome Hunter on top.
The background is vellum stamped with French Script in white and embossed with Irridescent Ice, layered on Certainly Celery. The ribbon is wide organdy and I believe the colour was Orchid, but I don't remember. In a recent trip through my junk drawer downstairs I found a bracelet with several different beaded purple circlets on stretchy cord all tied together. I disassembled it and used one of the strands to accent the ribbon. Great salvaging, but will discourage me further from ever throwing anything away because I might use it on a card someday.....
I had thought of using a sentiment on here somewhere, but it just didn't seem to go anywhere. I might dangle a small tag off the knot when I use this card and put the sentiment on that.
