This is for color challenge 110 to use Caribbean, Black and White. I had to add a little olive, too! I shocked myself by pulling out my pastels as I wanted to make the dog black and didn't want to use a marker. I have never even thought of painting with a blender pen and pastels until watching my Getting Started video for new demostrators. I am only three years behind in watching it. Duh! I used the Black, Olive and a small amount of Banana pastel with a blender pen and then used my reinker for the Caribbean. I am so surprised at how much depth and shading you can do with this technique. I always consider myself challenged when it comes to pastels as I always think of having to use them over versa and a sponge.....and it isn't pretty when I try it. This gave me lost of hope to demonstrate pastels to people and not look like a total failure with them.

Kittie, this is so adorable! Pastels black chalk is the only way I can get black on my coloring. The marker and stamps turn a purplish color when I try to use them. I absolutely love my pastels (now that I know how to use them).
