Every once in a while I get a request for custom invitations. I made some purse invitations and two weeks after the invitations had been mailed my client called and asked me if I could design a favor for each guest. Pictures of both are in my gallery. When I was getting ready to deliver the favors I asked my client if she had a guest book for her "girl friends" to sign during the party. She said no, but that was a great idea. I told her I would come up with something to match. Well, here it is... one of our 5x5 On Board Books. I think it turned out nice. I used the same supplies as the other stuff... real red, black & vanilla card stocks. I learned something as I did this. No matter what, you can't mod podge over something that's been colored in with our markers (not even if you heat set it). And so after the third try, I finally used Versamark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder over the whole VV square and then took that peice and mod podged it over the black piece to mat it on the book cover. It worked. I am pleased with the results. I used a bunch of the same satin and organdy ribbons on the spiral plus some of the red satin roses.
