This card started out as a CASE of Webseitler's card seen here: Subtle Sponging by webseitler at Splitcoaststampers
I just couldn't get my sentiment to work the same way she did, so I changed the card. It might have worked better as a horizontal card, but I'd already stamped all the pieces to go vertically so I'm just gonna stick with it (I made a bunch of these for stamp club).
The roses are stamped with Rose Red craft ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice EP so they sparkle IRL. Leaves are stamped with Glorious Green, and then I used sponge daubers to color everything with Apricot Appeal (I re-inked my pad so it came out pretty dark), Green Galore, and Tempting Turquoise.
I really like how the color combination turned out, and Apricot Appeal is a color I seldom use so that made me even happier. I was having problems deciding on a color for the leaves and tried doing Glorious Green for the stamp and the sponged-in color, but that didn't work, so I tried the same thing with Green Galore but I didn't like that either. My DH suggested I use both colors and I told him I didn't like the idea, so I let it sit for a few days. THEN I decided that DH was right about using two colors for the leaves. I even told him so
