I was making ornaments for my husband's office and when I got to his boss (having been in his house before) said to myself, I can NOT make one of these "cheesy" ornaments that I've been making for everyone else for Jim. So I sat down and looked at my own tree and saw one that had swirls. I knew I couldn't do the swirls so I took my versamarker and started with drawing the first section ( figured I had a box and a half of ornaments left, I had plenty to make mistakes with). I colored it in using the versamarker then put my first color on it. Then make the one on the opposite side, then the smaller ones and made each one it's own color. Then I used my heat gun to set the embossing powder. I took a foam egg carton and filled it with something to hold it down and put dowel rods that I use in cake decorating to hold the ornaments so I didn't burn my fingers. The lines between the colors were not very clean, so I decided to hot glue the ribbon on. I suggest taking the ribbon all the way to the top of the ornament then putting the cap on over the ribbon so it doesn't show through on the top. I then put the bow on it.
