I made this box for my DH, who left today on a long business trip. There are thirty-seven 3x3 cards that fit inside. The box was made by trimming down chipboard coasters and then covering them with designer paper.
The two coasters on the ends were trimmed down to 3.5 by 3.5 inches. The top, bottom, front, and back coasters are 3.5 by 4 inches. One of the leftover trimmings was used for the front flap.
I laid out the pieces on a full sheet of grid paper and glued them down with Mono Multi glue, using a spare piece of coaster as a spacer when gluing. Then I was able to line the sides that would become the inside of the box with designer paper pieces. Fold the whole thing up (trimming off excess grid paper, of course) and cover the outside with designer paper as well.
