The lighting at night is fantastic with this halogen light fixture that goes completely across the table. The table has two leaves that pull out - and easily seats 8-10 people. The door to the left leads to my kitchen and there is a curtain that we pull closed to give my family privacy and keep the noise level down in the rest of the house, so that the kids can sleep. This window looks out on our back yard - which is kind of drab right now because I do use a lot of perinniels in my garden. The camillia tree is about to bloom, the daffodils and tulips are on their way up - so soon the color outside will be out. The TV is awesome fun for watching crafting and interior design programs. I'm a very lucky girl.

For those of you who see this picture and would like to know the color it is Benjamin Moore - 2080-10 Raspberry Truffle. It goes perfectly with Pottery Barn's Cardinal Red products and now Target has some tableclothes, etc. in their Home collection - Saratoga that coordinate as well. These are closer to the Confederate Red that is next in line on the paint swatch. Benjamin Moore even has a website that you can paint a room any color you want - right there on-line. It hopefully will help convince my DH regarding the color I would like to paint our Master Bedroom. I HIGHLY recommend Benjamin Moore paints - over the years as an interior designer it was my paint of choice - it goes on and almost has a velvety appearance compared to other paint brands.

I love the room and the view is great (color or not)! I completely agree. We built our house a few years ago and did all the interior and exterior painting ourselves. Benjamin Moore is the best paint I have ever used. We used a dark color like this and only had to apply 2 coats. It's beautiful!!

I love your room and I'm so glad to hear that the light fixture you have over your workspace is so good. I was planning on using the same one for my workspace when I'm ready to replace the existing lighting. TFS!

Gorgeous space. LOVE your window view. We have a big hill in our backyard and after six years we still don't know what to do with it. Your design here I think would be great. Anything would be better not to mow it, like we do now. TFS. I'll show my DH.
