I asked here at SCS about what to do about the bottom and got a variety of responses - what I ended up doing was to push the bottom up into the box and then used Scotch QuickDry adhesive (you could also use something like crystal effect) to put a line of glue all along the bottom where the edge of the bottom meets with the sides....let dry overnight and it creates a strong bottom
