 | | This is for the SCHoliday100 sketch challenge. We were to use an animal or creature from a non Christmas set in a Holiday card. I love the little birdy house from Garden Pleasures and think it looks so like an old fashioned barn. I thought the sheep would look so cute with an old red, snow covered barn, fenced in with lovely trees surrounding the area. I stamped the sheep, masked and then stamped the barn. I sketched in the little fence with an artist pen and then stamped the trees around. I painted the fence with creamy caramel, and filled in some dirty area on the ground. After I painted the barn I lightly painted white craft ink on the barn, trees and fence to create ice and snow and embossed with White Detail ep.. Then I painted white craft on the ground area and embossed with Winter White ep. I painted the sheep and then lightly covered with LA and it ruined the scene. I scraped it off, cut and painted another and popped it up. The mistake made a much cuter card. You know....we just can't stop with a mistake. I hand sketched a little gold bell and painted with gold leaf ink. I wanted in the worst kind of way to use a sentiment like "Warm Wishes to Ewe" but couldn't stand to ruin this darling, simple little scene with a tag. I had to just let it be as it is. |
