I can't believe how easy these are! tips are to place a speck of glue stick on the candle where you want to place the tissue paper cut outs. Keeps them in place. Also, add extra length to the wax paper so if you missed a spot you can just roll it to a new piece. Once the wax paper has been heated it really doesn't work as good the second time around. When i use the pastels, I use an aligator clip, (found at the hardware store) and tiny white pom poms(from the craft store) they last much longer than the applicators. You can find scented pillar candles for $1 at Michaels.
