Hi,
There was a thread started several weeks ago, and I thought this was a great idea! So, this is what I came up with! I have made 4 total, I will upload more pix.

Lifesaver candy - you are a lifesaver to many of your students
Jewel - because you are as valuable as a precious stone
Paperclip - to hold it all together
Mounds Bar - for the mounds of confidence you give your students
Shiny Penny - to remind you, each will shine in their own special way
Ear Plugs - when you just can't take anymore

For the gem, I found pink heart shaped "gems" in the scrapbook section at Wal-Mart. I thought that was perfect! It was about $2.50 for a sheet of 9. In total, the whole kit cost about $8.00 in supplies, but some of the supplies, such as the marbles, paperclips, will come with so many for so many more lunchboxes.
Also, I couldn't find marbles, so I bought clear glass pebbles that were just like marbles in the craft section at Wal-Mart. I hope that helps!!!! Let me know if you have any other questions!

I'm a teacher and I can tell you that this probably meant the world to the teacher who recieved it! How thoughtful of you. It's nice to know teachers are thought of at the start of the year too ... not just the end! You did a great job!
